As a certified Nursing Assistant, you give basic nursing and personal care to residents/patients as assigned. Helps residents/patients maintain or regain activities of daily living: helps residents/patients with personal needs, such as eating, elimination, bathing and grooming. Helps to make residents/patients physically comfortable and assist them with mobility and activity needs. Provides physical and emotional support to residents/patients. Attends to residents/patients psychological comfort and social needs, such as by answering the call bell promptly, providing privacy, assisting with communication, and showing respect. Ensures a clean and safe environment for residents/patients. Assists the nurse with assessment and care planning, such as taking vital signs, observing residents/patients, and reporting and recording observations. Provides support services, such as transporting residents/patients or cleaning equipment. Takes direction from RN s and LPN s to carry out the care plan. Makes observations and reports them according to facility policy.
